Durbin Chiropractic and Acupuncture pride themselves on not being a typical doctor’s office. You are greeted with an energetic and friendly atmosphere the minute you walk in the door. That energy and enthusiasm is carried through from your reception to your visit with the doctors.

If it seems like Dr. Shawn and Dr. Christina Durbin are close to their patients it’s because they are. You can tell they genuinely care about not only the health of their patients, but also what is going on in their life and with their family. “We become friends with our patients, we care about them and want them to feel comfortable with us,” explains Dr. Shawn Durbin.

Sitting in the waiting room at Durbin Chiropractic for more than ten minutes you are bound to hear laughter and see smiles. “It’s a different kind of doctor’s office because we are focused on keeping people healthy,” states Dr. Shawn Durbin. “Plus we don’t keep people waiting – that in itself makes most patients happy,” adds Dr. Christina Durbin. “We want our patients to enjoy their visit with us. We try to keep the wait to under five minutes, but honestly, most patients can’t get through a magazine article before we take them back to be treated.”

The doctors have a team approach to care. The office is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 7 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Tues. Thurs. from 2 - 6 with Saturday times by appointment. Dr. Shawn Durbin starts seeing patients as early as 7:15 a.m. and Dr. Christina Durbin sees patients as late as 6:00p.m. “We wanted to make it easier for our patients to schedule appointments. With our schedule, we can see most patients before or after their workday. “Working a shorter shift also helps us to stay fresh and focused from the first patient in the morning to the last patient at night.”

Another aspect of their team approach is by incorporating different types of treatment. The doctors learned several adjusting techniques while at Logan so they can find what works best for each patient, acupuncture and massage therapy round out their team approach to care. Lauren Schultz, massage therapist, plays a role in that team by offering therapeutic massage in the doctor’s office.

Durbin Chiropractic and Acupuncture is a well rounded practice. Patients range in age from newborn to the elderly. They treat conditions as varied as arthritis to allergies. The doctors state that whatever the condition, the goal is still the same. “We want each patient to reach their optimal health potential, and keep them there.”
